NETBALL 2025:
KEY INFO

After returning to the court competitively in 2024, our Netball program is continuing to build into the 2025 season and beyond. â€‹

We fielded two teams in Orange Netball Association's Senior Competitions in 2024 and the goal for 2025 is to field five teams, including a Division One team.

We welcome any senior player to express their interest to play for Emus in 2025, no matter your experience levels or background.

The ultimate goal is to continue growing and developing to build that presence further and, eventually, also form a Junior Netball program.

The continued growth of our Netball program is a key focus in line with the club's over-arching development, and to continue providing more pathways for women in sport.

We are also inviting any interest from people in our community to contribute to the club outside of playing, please contact netball@emusrugby.com.au if you are interested in being involved.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I join Emus Netball in 2025?

We are currently asking interested players to express their interest via our online EOI form. Just make sure you fill out the form before February 16, and the club will be in contact with more information after that including how to register.

Will Emus field Junior teams as well?

We will only be fielding Senior teams in 2025. However, with exciting plans in place to expand further in future years, we are anticipating being able to field Junior teams soon.

Are there Sponsorship opportunities available?

Yes, Sponsorship packages are available and we encourage any local businesses or organisations to touch base to discuss a partnership in 2025. Please email netball@emusrugby.com.au to request our Sponsorship Proposal and discuss further.

How will players and teams be graded?

We will be grading players for our higher division teams. Otherwise, the committee will review our mix of players and consider your preferred division to make a recommendation before teams are decided.

Can I play with my friends?

We have included a specific section in the EOI form so you can let us know anyone you would really like to play in the same team as. Much like rugby, we take a whole club approach to ensure a friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment. But of course, we will do our best to make sure any request is met. Please remember though, our higher grades will be chosen on a grading basis, so meeting requests will be easier to facilitate in lower grades.

I already have a team in the Senior Competition. Can we transfer an entire team to Emus?

Yes, we welcome existing groups of players to join us as an entire team. Please touch base at netball@emusrugby.com.au to discuss.

How do I get a uniform, will they be supplied by the club?

Yes, uniforms and kit will be provided by the club and the cost for these will be included as part of your registration. You will have an opportunity to try on uniforms prior to the club placing an order, to make sure it fits well and is comfortable. Our uniforms are high quality, supplied by long-term apparel partner Paladin Sports. More information will be shared by the committee in the coming weeks.

When will training start and how often will the club train?

These details are still being worked on by our committee, and we need to see how many players and teams we will have before finalising. At this stage, there is a Gala Day scheduled for March 22 and Round 1 is expected to be on May 3. We will provide more information for players once the details are finalised.

I'm a coach, trainer or umpire and I'm interested in joining the club in that capacity. Can I?

Absolutely. While our committee is formed, we're inviting any community members with various skillsets to join the club and contribute to our development. Please touch base at netball@emusrugby.com.au to discuss.
